New sleepers are part of our core product range stocked at our
yard in Romsey, Near Southampton, Hampshire. New treated softwood
sleepers and new oak sleepers have proved very popular in recent
years for all types of landscaping projects. Railway sleepers
can be used for raised flower or vegetable beds, retaining walls,
steps, edging, seating and many other applications.
Pressure Treated New Softwood Sleepers – Tanalised
- Natural Green
Treated softwood sleepers are safer for garden and leisure use
than traditional reclaimed railway sleepers that contain creosote,
which can leach out making them unsuitable for usage in the
garden where there is frequent skin contact such as where young
children play or food production such as vegetable beds. Softwood
garden sleepers also have a mellower colour, starting off as
a light natural green colour and then progressively fading to
a greyish silver hue.
Softwood sleepers available in following sizes: -
100mm x 200mm x 2.4m (4” x 8” x 7ft 10”)
100mm x 225mm x 2.4m (4” x 9” x 7ft 10”)
125mm x 250mm x 2.4m (5” x 10” x 7ft 10”)
New Oak Sleepers – Unseasoned – Untreated
Our new oak sleepers are very strong and very durable and provide
a robust oak railway sleeper for all types of landscaping at
a realistic price. These oak sleepers are produced from unseasoned
new oak, which can have split ends, shakes and other blemishes,
which are natural characteristics of oak. These railway sleepers
are fresh cut with a golden colour when new which after a few
months of external seasoning fades to a silver grey colour.
Oak sleepers available in following size: -
